CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – American University volleyball player Kristyna Lindovska has been recognized as the GEICO AU Student-Athlete of the Week for her performance in a pair of AU victories last week.

She was also honored as the Molten Patriot League Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.

A senior outside hitter from Ostrava, Czech Republic, Lindovska helped lead American to straight-set wins over Lehigh and Colgate over the weekend.

Lindovska registered nine kills and a career-high 15 digs in AU's win over Lehigh, as the Eagles clinched the Patriot League regular-season title and home-court advantage in the upcoming league tournament.

Against Colgate, Lindovska finished with 10 kills and 12 digs, hitting .500 for the match. It was her fourth double-double of the season and the third straight match with double-figure digs.

In the two matches, Lindovska averaged 3.17 kills and 4.5 digs per set with an attack percentage of .432. Lindovska also became the 12th player in program history to reach 1,000 kills for her career.

This week's PL Player of the Week award is the second of the season for Lindovska and the fifth of her career.

Gaining honorable mention from the league this week was freshman Aleksandra Kazala, who registered 17 kills and 14 digs in just four sets of action.
