CENTER VALLEY, Pa. — American University women's soccer placed 22 members of the team on the Fall Patriot League Honor Roll.
To be eligible for the Fall Academic Honor Roll a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade point average (GPA) in the fall semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's seven fall championship sports, including men's and women's cross country, field hockey, football, men's and women's soccer and volleyball.
Loyola Maryland placed a League-high 26 student-athletes on the academic honor roll while Lehigh had 25 make the list. American followed with 22, Holy Cross had 21, while Boston University, Bucknell and Lafayette all had 20 apiece. Colgate (17), Army West Point (15) and Navy (11) round out the list of honorees.
All 11 members of the 2018 Academic All-Patriot League squad made the honor roll, including the women's soccer scholar-athlete of the year, Navy junior goalie Sydney Fortson.
The 10 women's soccer programs also placed 21 of the 33 2018 All-Patriot League first-, second- and third-team selections on the academic honor roll, including offensive player of the year Yari Bradfield (American, Sr., Forward), midfielder of the year Mara Consentino (Colgate, Jr., Midfielder) and goalkeeper of the year Kelly Chiavaro (Colgate, Jr., Goalkeeper).
26 student-athletes earned a 4.0 GPA during the fall semester, with four coming from American, including senior Maddie Light, juniors Amy Krotine and Victoria Mattson, sophomore Victoria Kent
