CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - The American University women's lacrosse team earned 24 spots on the 2018 Patriot League Spring Academic Honor Roll, the league office released on Wednesday.
To be eligible for the PL Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 GPA or higher during the spring semester.
A total of 215 women's lacrosse student-athletes were selected to the academic honor roll with Lafayette leading the league with 35 honorees. Holy Cross was next with 30 student-athletes followed by a three-way tie for third between American, Bucknell and Loyola Maryland with 24 each. Colgate (22), Lehigh (15), Navy (15), Boston University (14) and Army West Point (12) rounded out the list.
Highlighting the list of AU honorees was a pair of perfect 4.00 GPA's from juniors Casey Aguilar-Gervase and Sam Breeze. Aguilar-Gervase and Breeze were also two of the six student-athletes to have appeared on their third PL honor roll along with senior Leah Brennan, junior Sydney Fry, junior Fiona Geier, and junior Lauren Titus.
Seniors Jennifer DeSimone and Lexi Perez, juniors Sarah Lowe and Brooke Stapleton, and sophomores Emma Curtis, Casey Harkins, Izabella Jade, Erica Skowron, and Katie Wood all earned their second appearances on the honor roll.
Rounding out the list were nine Eagles who made their academic honor roll debuts with sophomores Amanda Medjid and Lauren Ramirez and freshmen Sarah Boney, Kendall Goldblum, Cate Golden, Delaney Oliveira, Peyton Smith, Emma Vinall and Charlotte Wertimer.
