WASHINGTON – The American University women's lacrosse team is nearing the second half of the Patriot League regular season schedule on Saturday as the Eagles head to Colgate for a noon draw. 

AU is still in search of its first conference victory of the season with a 3-9 overall record, 0-4 in the PL. The Raiders are 8-4 overall this season and 3-2 in the league.

Colgate leads 21-game series against the Eagles, 14-7, including a 15-6 victory in Washington, D.C., last season. The last AU win was in 2014 at home, 10-9.

Sophomore Izabella Jade led American with a pair of goals during the 19-7 loss to Boston University on Saturday. Five other Eagles contributed to the final point tally with senior Leah Brennan, sophomores Casey Harkins and Amanda Medjid, and freshmen Emma Vinall and Kendall Goldblum scoring a goal each.

Vinall leads the Eagles with 24 goals during her debut season. Seniors Lexi Perez and Brennan follow with career-highs after scoring 19 goals and 17 goals, respectively, through the first 12 games. Sophomore Erica Skowron sits only four assists away from a single-season program record, leading the team with 20. She also added 11 goals so far for a team-high 31 points.

Brennan leads the team with a career-high 49 draw controls followed by 40 from Vinall. Junior Sydney Fry also leads the team with a career-high after picking up 27 ground balls so far this season.

Sophomore Ana Freda has led the team from the net throughout the last two games and holds a .364 save percentage and 17.98 goals against average. Junior Fiona Geier, who started the first 10 games of the season, is 10 saves away from 100 for the season. She holds a .431 save percentage and 13.50 goals against average.

Colgate dropped its third game of the conference season on Saturday with a 12-6 loss to Lehigh. Tara Atkinson and Haley O'Hanlon led the Raiders with two goals each followed by one goal from Payton Gabriel and Kate Kelly. Samantha Croston guided the team from goal with seven saves.

O'Hanlon leads the team's overall scoring efforts with 34 goals, followed by 18 from Payton Gabriel and 17 by Kristen Brigagliano. Danielle Van Calcar has contributed a team-high 12 assists while O'Hanlon ranks second on the team with 10 for a team-high 44 points.

O'Hanlon ranks first for the Raiders with 47 draw controls, followed closely by Van Calcar's 46. 

Croston ranks second among Patriot League goalkeepers with 9.75 saves per game for a .511 save percentage and 9.19 goals against average. She also leads the league with 3.08 ground balls per game.
