CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - American University Lacrosse senior midfielder Sarah Bootman earned her first career Academic All-Patriot League Team honor, as released by the league office on Wednesday. This is the team's first Academic All-League nod since Emily Maher in 2014.
Bootman holds a 3.67 cumulative GPA and will graduate this spring with a degree in business administration. This is the latest in what has been a career-high season for Bootman, as she rose to be one of the top forces on the offensive end for the Eagles. She closed the season as the team's No. 2 scorer, hitting career-highs across the board with 35 points off of 21 goals and a team-high 14 assists.
The McMurray, Pa., native scored in 11 of the team's 16 games this season, hitting three hat tricks, and was No. 2 on the team with 19 draw controls.
Bootman closes her AU career with 56 points (32 goals, 24 assists), 29 ground balls and 28 draw controls. She played in 57 games throughout her four years and made 31 starts.
