Hoon Selected to Second-Team All-Patriot League

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - American University lacrosse senior Madison Hoon was selected to the All-Patriot League second team for the second consecutive year, as announced by the league on Monday afternoon.

A midfielder from Sayville, N.Y., Hoon was a major force for the Eagles on both ends of the field.  The 2017 team MVP led the squad in three categories, pulling down 54 draw controls while contributing career-highs in both ground balls (42) and caused turnovers (26).

On the offensive end, Hoon was the No. 3 scorer for the team with a career-high 27 points off of 21 goals and six assists.

Hoon clocked time in each of the 66 games throughout her AU career and made 51 starts.  She holds the program record for individual season draw controls after tallying 64 during her junior campaign and closes her four years with 187 total draw controls, 109 ground balls and 85 points.
