Coenen Selected for Second PL Weekly Award

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – For the second time this season, sophomore Noor Coenen was selected as the Patriot League's Offensive Player of the Week after leading the team with five points over the two-game weekend.

The Naarden, Netherlands, native opened the final weekend of the regular season with three points during the 6-1 win over Colgate on Saturday before tabbing the team's only goal against No. 4 UConn.

Coenen leads the team with 24 points this season off nine goals and six assists and currently ranks second in the league with 0.56 goals per game and 1.50 points per game.

Senior defender Annaka Groschinski also earned a spot on the weekly release as honorable mention after leading the team with five points against Colgate (two goals, one assist). She currently leads the league with 0.50 assists per game.

The Eagles will travel to Boston University next weekend for the Patriot League Tournament. No. 2-seed American will face No. 3-seed Bucknell at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 2. The PL Championship game will be held at noon on Sunday, Nov. 4.
