CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - For the second consecutive week, third this season, American University field hockey senior goalkeeper Maura Jacobs has been selected as the Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week.

The New Cumberland, Pa., native rose to the top of the Patriot League rankings after notching her second consecutive shutout on Friday with the 7-0 victory over Towson before narrowly missing her third of the season during the 1-0 loss to No. 25 Old Dominion on Sunday. With four games remaining in the regular season, Jacobs is only eight saves away from the 200th of her career.

Senior Rafaela Rubas also made an appearance in the league's weekly release as an honorable mention after putting away two goals during the win over Towson.

The Eagles will take one final regular season road-trip next weekend as they travel to Lafayette on Saturday, Oct. 20, for a noon start, followed by a 2 p.m. game at Rutgers on Sunday. AU will return home to face Colgate on Saturday, Oct. 27, and will celebrate Senior Day against No. 5 UConn on Sunday, Oct. 28.
