The American University women's basketball team travels to Navy on Saturday, Feb. 26, for its last regular season game with the third seed in the Patriot League Tournament on the line.
Usually by this time in the season, everything's wrapped up nicely. But that's not the case this year: depending on today's game, American can still finish third or fourth, while Navy could still finish fifth or sixth.
The difference is key: the 3rd and 6th seeds head to Lehigh, the 2nd seed, while the 4th and 5th seeds head to Holy Cross, the top seed.
American enters this game riding a season-high three-game PL winning streak, including knocking off second place Lehigh on Saturday, 65-50. Meanwhile, the Mids also knocked off Lehigh last Friday, but then dropped a 10-point decision to last place Lafayette on Sunday.
The Mids have a 3-3 PL record at home, while the Eagles post a 3-3 road PL record.
