Women's Basketball Opens Challenging Road Swing at Army

Feb. 3, 2005

The streaky Eagles are on a downslide currently. American has lost two in a row, including a devastating loss at Colgate, 67-45, on Jan. 30. AU is hoping to recover from its woes against Army, a team who the Eagles have beaten the last three times in which they've played.

Meanwhile, the Black Knights have won two of three games which they have played since the loss to American, only losing to the second-place Lehigh Mountain Hawks.

Expect tonight's contest to be a low-scoring affair. Both teams average less than 60 points per contest, with Army shooting 38 percent as a team on the season and the Eagles also firing at a 38 percent clip. Free throw shooting could play a factor, with Army gaining the advantage. The Black Knights shoot 71 percent from the line while American hits at just 60 percent.
