American enters its last non-conference game of the season reeling from a 67-45 loss at Colgate. The Eagles struggled mightily against the defending Patriot League Champions, shooting just 30.5 percent from the field and 39 percent (nine-of-23) from the free throw line.
AU had appeared to be back on track after losing seven consecutive games earlier this season. The Eagles had won three of their last four games and were coming off a solid road win over Bucknell.
Now American is seeking to regroup, beginning with tonight's game against Maryland-Eastern Shore. The Hawks are struggling, as well, entering the game with a 7-11 record, including a 1-7 non-conference record, but have won two in a row and three of their last four.
Tonight's game will be broadcast live on internet radio and video. Please visit AU's multimedia page for more information.
