Nikki Flores begins her sixth season as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at American University.

Before joining AU’s staff in 2013, Flores spent the previous season at Colgate, focusing on recruiting and also assisting in preseason and individual workouts and breaking down game film. She helped lead the Raiders to one of their biggest RPI wins in program history and two wins over the top seed in the 2013 Patriot League tournament to advance to the semifinals for the first time since 2007.

Flores also served as the first assistant and recruiting coordinator at Division II Holy Family University from 2009 to 2012, helping the team to three CACC regular-season championships from 2010 to 2012 and three berths to the NCAA Tournament.

Flores was a four-year member of the women’s basketball team at Marist, earning All-MAAC second-team honors in her senior season and being honored on the MAAC All-Rookie Team in 2005. She helped lead the Foxes to four MAAC regular-season titles, three MAAC Tournament championships and three NCAA Tournament appearances, including a Sweet 16 appearance during her junior year.

Flores graduated from Marist University in 2008 with a degree in history and adolescent education.
