Assistant coach Tiffany Coll is entering her sixth year as a member of the American University women’s basketball coaching staff and works primarily with the Eagles’ post players. During her tenure with the Eagles, she has helped the team to a 95-65 (.590) overall record, including three seasons with over 22 wins, two Patriot League titles and two berths into the NCAA Tournament. She has recruited and coached ten All-Patriot League players and one PL All-Rookie selection, as well as two PL Players of the Year, two Defensive Players of the Year, four PL Scholar-Athlete of the Year selections, two All-ECAC honorees, two NCAA Woman of the Year nominees and a 2014 NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship recipient. She also serves as the team's community service coordinator and works as the Elite Camp coordinator.
Prior to her arrival at AU, Coll spent the 2012-13 season as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Towson. While at Towson, she helped to aid in the development of two All-CAA honorees and oversaw their academic performances, seeing marked improvements during her time with the Tigers.
Coll previously served as an assistant coach at Lehigh, helping guide the Mountain Hawks to three 20-win seasons, three Patriot League regular season titles and two NCAA Tournament appearances. Before joining Lehigh, she was an assistant coach at Navy for the 2007-08 season and was a graduate assistant coach at St. John’s for two seasons, helping the Red Storm to a top-25 ranking and 22-8 overall record in 2005-06.
Coll played basketball abroad in Portugal, Germany, Holland and Wales after playing at the collegiate level for UMBC. She was a four-year member of the Retrievers’ squad and served on the NCAA Student-Athlete Advisory Committee for two seasons.
Coll graduated from UMBC in 2003 with a degree in issues and athletic administration and received her master’s degree in sociology from St. John’s in 2007.
