Nicole Krusen enters her third season as the Director of Operations for the AU women's basketball team in 2018-19. In her role, Krusen oversees all travel and accommodations along with a variety of gameday and practice functions.
Krusen comes to American from Virginia Tech, where she spent the last year as the video coordinator for the Hokies' women's basketball program.
She is a 2013 graduate of Loyola University Maryland, was a four-year letterwinner for the Greyhounds, serving as a captain during her senior season (2013-14). A two-year starter, she graduated as the program's career leader in both free throw percentage (.859) and three-point field goals made.
Following her graduation from Loyola, Krusen spent a year playing at National University Ireland, Galway. There she averaged 21.9 points per game, helping the team to an undefeated regular season and earning a spot on the Irish Colleges Select Team. Additionally, she competed for the NUIG Mystics in the Irish National League, averaging 15.9 points per game.
A native of Rockville, Md., Krusen attended Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School in Washington, D.C., earning first-team All-Independent School League AA honors all four years. During her high school career, she scored 1,638 career points while leading her team to an overall record of 105-21.
