Eight Members of Men's Basketball Earn Patriot League Academic Honor Roll

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. — The Patriot League announced Tuesday that eight members of the American University men's basketball team were placed on the PL Academic Honor Roll. 

American was represented by seniors Charlie Jones, Jalen Rhea, Leon Tolksdorf and Yilret Yiljep, junior Alex Paquin, sophomore Kevin Brown and freshman Mark Gasperini

Jones and Tolksdorf finished with AU's highest spring semester GPA of 3.66. 

Jones was selected as the PL men's basketball Scholar-Athlete of the Year and is a member of the Academic All-PL Team, which was announced in March.

To be eligible for the Patriot League Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the spring semester and participate in one of the Patriot League's winter or spring championship sports.
