WASHINGTON — Marvin Bragg, a 6-foot-7 guard out of Cerritos, California, signed a National Letter of Intent to join head coach Brennan and the Amercian University men's basketball team as part of the Class of 2021.
"Marvin is a versatile skilled wing that will help us right away," said Brennan. "He can play multiple positions on both ends of the court. He had a terrific senior season and we can't wait to get him in an AU uniform."
Bragg played at Gahr High School under Coach Ricky Roper and finished his senior season averaging 20.0 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. He was named the Most Valuable Player of the San Gabriel Valley League and All-CIF Division I-AA.
In his career, Bragg played 98 varsity games for the Gladiators and averaged 13.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game.
Bragg will have a familiar face on the team in rising junior James Washington, who grew up in a neighboring community in Los Angeles County.
He played AAU for Earl Watson Elite under coaches Ryan Silver and Jason Simon.
Bragg joins Sam Iorio and Drew Lamont as members of the incoming class at American.
