WASHINGTON — American University men's basketball will head to Australia for 10-days August 11-21. The squad will compete in three games against teams from Down Under along with getting the full cultural experience with sightseeing and tours. Games will be announced in mid-July.

"I am very excited to bring our team overseas to compete against high-level competition in Australia," said Brennan. "This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for our student-athletes to visits a foreign country and experience international basketball."

As part of the experience, the Eagles will visit Cairns and Sydney during the 10-day excursion with plans to explore the Great Barrier Reef and the Sydney Opera House.

This is the first international trip under Brennan. In the summer of 2011, the Eagles traveled to the Czech Republic, Hungary and Austria under former head coach Jeff Jones.
