Boston Game Notes

BOSTON — American's five-game winning streak was snapped on Saturday at Lehigh while Boston has won its last four games. During American's streak, the Eagles defeated the top three teams in the Patriot League and have moved into seventh place. Boston's streak has pushed them into a five-way tie for second.

Senior Jesse Reed and Boston's John Papale are second and seventh, respectively, in active Patriot League scores. Reed has 1,286 career points while Papale has 1,183.

The Terriers are riding a four-game winning streak heading into the second meeting with American on Wednesday. Boston escaped a near upset against Lafayette in overtime, 89-82. The Terriers tied the game with three seconds left on free throws by Nathan Dieudonne. In the overtime, Boston took over and held a five-point lead before Lafayette was forced to foul. Eric Fanning leads the team in scoring at 14.5 points per game and is second in rebounds at 4.4. Cheddi Mosely is second in scoring averaging 13.7 points with three other Terriers also in double figures. On the glass, Nick Havener is pulling down 6.3 boards per game.

James Washington and Andrija Matic combined for 25 points, but a strong Boston University squad pulled away with an 11-point victory, 61-50, at Bender Arena. Washington's 15 points led the Eagles in 37 minutes. Matic had 10 points off the bench on 4-of-8 shooting with six rebounds.
