WASHINGTON — After dropping 10 straight games, American has won its last two on the road against Lafayette and Navy. Saturday's contest at Colgate will conclude AU's four-game road swing. The Eagles have seen increased productivity from freshmen Delante Jones and Andrija Matic during the last three road games.

On Wednesday night at Navy, despite a 9-0 deficit four minutes into the contest, the Eagles used a 15-4 run to take a lead midway through the half. Delante Jones led the team with 23 points to tie his season-best.

The Eagles finished the contest outrebounding the Mids, 31-25, with nine offensive boards. Junior Jalen Rhea came off the bench and finished with a career-high 15 points on 5-of-8 from long-range. Senior Jesse Reed finished with a team-best five assists and added 12 points with half coming from the free throw line.

COLGATE SCOUT

Colgate enters Saturday's game after a 79-70 defeat at Lehigh on Wednesday. The Raiders had been riding a four-game winning streak heading into the contest. In their previous contest against American, Austin Tillotson and Tom Rivard finished in double figures to lead Colgate to a 56-37 win. Tillotson leads the team in scoring (14.1), and assists per game (5.2). The York, Pennsylvania, native has scored 20+ points three times this season. Jordan Swopshire is second on the team in scoring at 10.3 points per game. Swopshire is Colgate's best threat from the outside, shooting 42 percent from beyond the arc. Freshman Malcolm Regisford is averaging 5.9 points per game, but leads the team in rebounds at 6.1.
