The American University men's basketball team will host Lehigh this Saturday, February 6, in search of a fourth straight win and looking to continue its 20-game home winning streak against Patriot League opponents. Tipoff from Bender Arena is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. The Eagles are a perfect 3-0 at home in conference play this season but dropped a 78-67 contest at Lehigh on January 9, snapping the team's four-game winning streak against the Mountain Hawks. Lehigh currently stands tied atop the Patriot League standings with Lafayette at 5-2 and holds a 14-8 overall record.

American has been on a roll recently, recording three straight wins over Holy Cross, Navy and Lafayette. During this stretch the Eagles have shot 51.0 percent from the floor while limiting their opponents to 40.4 percent shooting. American has also dished out an average of 21.3 apg during the winning streak and outrebounded opponents by an average of 10.3 rpg.

Junior Vlad Moldoveanu led all scorers in American's 76-66 victory at Lafayette last week, scoring 21 points to help the Eagles past the first-place Leopards. The forward was 7-of-12 from the field, 5-of-6 from the line and added six rebounds, one assist and one steal. Sophomore Stephen Lumpkins, junior Nick Hendra and freshman Daniel Munoz each reached double-digits in the win, scoring 13 points, 12 points and 10 points, respectively.

Moldoveanu was named the Patriot League Anaconda Player of the Week on Monday for the third time this season and second time in as many weeks after helping the Eagles to a pair of conference victories.
