The American University men’s basketball team volunteered
at Walk Now for Autism on October 31. Walk Now for Autism, held
each year on the National Mall, is the nation’s largest
grassroots autism walk program and is sponsored by Autism Speaks.
The team arrived at the event at 6 a.m. to begin set up and stayed
throughout the morning to help participants register, hand out
t-shirts and talk with community members. This was the third year
that the men’s basketball team has volunteered with Walk Now
for Autism.
