American University has postponed the Stafford H. "Pop" Cassell
Hall of Fame induction ceremonies and fundraising auction scheduled
for this Saturday, February 6th due to the severe winter storm
forecasted to arrive in the D.C. Metropolitan area.
The Hall of Fame events have been rescheduled to take place on
Saturday, February 27th at Mary Graydon Center, on AU's main
campus, prior to the men's basketball game vs. Lafayette at 4 p.m.
in Bender Arena. The festivities will begin with the
induction luncheon at 1 p.m. All guests who are registered
for the February 6th ceremony will automatically be registered for
the celebration on February 27th. Auction items currently posted on
AUeagles.com will remain available for on-line bidding until noon
on Friday, February 26th. The silent and live auctions will take
place on February 27th following the induction ceremony.
"Vendula and Mary's induction into the Cassell Hall of Fame is a
special event for the entire university community. We hope
that by postponing the ceremony, the many alumni and friends
planning to attend the celebration honoring these two highly
accomplished alumnae, will do so safely and more easily at the
later date," said David Bierwirth, Senior Associate AD /
Development & Special Events.
To register for the event or for more information please contact
