Cross Country Announces 2017 Schedule

The AU men's cross country team gathers before the 2016 UVA Panorama Farms Invitational

WASHINGTON - The American University cross country team released its 2017 schedule on Monday, which will feature seven regular season meets before the Patriot League Championships in Bethlehem, Pa., on Oct. 28.

As has been the case since 2013, AU will make its first trip of the season to the Mount St. Mary's 5k Duals in Emmitsburg, Md., on Sept. 1.  From there, the team will travel to Annapolis, Md., (Sept. 9) where the men will face the Navy Invitational and the women will take on the Salty Dog Invitational.

For the second consecutive year, the Eagles will make their first of three trips to Bethlehem, Pa., for Lehigh's Paul Short Invitational (Sept. 29).

An American contingent will also take the line at the George Mason Invitational in Fairfax, Va., (Sept. 30) before the Eagles close their regular season at the Princeton Invitational (Oct. 14).

The Patriot League Championships will be held in Bethlehem, Pa., on Oct. 28 followed by the NAA Mid-Atlantic Regional, also in Bethlehem, on Nov. 10.  The NCAA Cross Country Championships will be held at the historic E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Ky., on Saturday, Nov. 18.
