Cross Country Concludes Season at NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals

The American University men's cross country team, along with three members of the women's squad, competed at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional meet at the University of Maryland-Eastern Shore this past Saturday.  In wet and sloppy course conditions, both sides performed well as the men's team placed seventh overall and the women posted solid individual performances.

The men's team was led by junior Colin Eustis who placed 24th overall in a time of 32:47.8.  He was followed by fellow junior Jeff Brannigan, who placed 43rd. Ryan Williams, Craig Brown, and Conor Sullivan rounded out the field for the Eagles and placed 58th, 60th, and 61st, respectively, to give American its final team score of 246 points.

On the women's side, Octavia Rinehardt finished in 35th place overall in a time of 22:35.  Also competing for the Eagles were seniors Rachel Forcino and Greta Wicklund, who finished 87th and 94th, respectively, in the meet.
