Position: Assistant Coach

Ryan is a 2015 graduate of Lehigh University, where he ran under Coaches Tod Etters and Matt Utesch.  After helping his team to its first Patriot League Cross Country title in 2012, he went on to be a three-time First Team All-League selection in Cross Country, and set school records in the indoor 5000m and outdoor 1500m runs.  He was also the first man in school history to win an IC4A indoor title, claiming the 5000m title during his senior year.  He was named the Patriot League Male Track Athlete of the Year for his victories in the 10,000m and 5000m, and went on to receive All-American Honorable Mention with his 17th place finish at the NCAA Outdoor Championships. 

He currently competes for the District Track Club in Washington, D.C., and has lifetime PR's of 3:46.30 (1500m), 13:56 (5000m) and 28:57 (10,000m).

In addition to coaching and competing, Ryan is also an adjunct in the Health Fitness Department at American University.  He is the son of Victoria and Michael Mahalsky, and graduated from Hillsborough HS in Hillsborough, N.J., in 2011.
