Manson, Riebling Earn Doubles for @AU_SwimDive

WASHINGTONKyra Manson and Liam Riebling each won two individual events as the American University swimming and diving team celebrated Senior Night at the Frailey Pool on Friday night.

The AU women defeated Howard and Manhattan in dual-meet scoring on Friday, while the Eagle men lost both meets. Howard defeated the Jaspers on the women's side, while the Manhattan men beat the Bison.

GAME NOTES

• Manson won both the 50-yard freestyle (25.05) and the 100 butterfly (58.72) for the Eagles. She also swam on the first-place 200 medley relay.

• American got first-place finishes in women's events from Natalie Hamlet (11:08.74 in 1,000 free), Ryan Jolley (2:12.47 in 200 IM), Alex Brosvik (53.88 in 100 free), Lily Koenig (58.90 in 100 back), Ellie Kight (5:19.16 in 500 free), Anna Derrow (239.60 in 3-meter diving) and Malak Hattab (1:09.90 in 100 breaststroke)).

• Brosvik, Hamlet, Jolley and Kight combined to win the 800 freestyle relay for AU.

• Reibling went 1:58.50 to win the 200 individual medley and posted 4:05.56 to win the 500 free. Both marks were the best of the season so-far for an Eagle men's swimmer.

Christian Hernandez won the 1-meter diving competition, scoring 181.70 to post the 15th-best mark in AU history in the event.

• Season-bests by AU men were earned by the 200 medley relay, Garrett Sooter (1,000 free), Scott Callander (50 free), Matt Bean (100 back) and the 800 free relay.
