Ashley Rozendaal is the Director of Student Success and Student-Athlete Support, where she oversees the Student-Athlete Support Program. The Student-Athlete Support Program provides academic support and life skills development for all American University student-athletes through holistic counseling and programming.
Rozendaal joined the Academic Support and Access Center staff in August 2011 after serving as an academic advisor in the School of Communication at American University for three years. Rozendaal started her career at American University in August 2007; prior to her time at American University, Rozendaal was the Director of Men’s and Women’s Basketball Operations at Dartmouth College.
Rozendaal earned her bachelor of arts degree in communications/public relations from George Mason University in 2006 and a master of science degree in academic advising/student-athlete advising from Kansas State University in 2012.
During her time at George Mason, Rozendaal competed as a Division I hammer, weight and discus thrower. Rozendaal recently played two seasons on the offensive line for the D.C. Divas full-contact women’s football team, winning a national championship with the team in 2015.
