Scott Pearson finished his career as an Eagle as one of the most decorated players in men’s soccer history. Pearson was captain of the 1997 team, one of the greatest squad’s in program history.
Pearson earned 141 points for the Eagles between 1994 and 1997, becoming AU’s second all-time leading scorer. Pearson did so by scoring 55 goals, also second best in program history, and dishing out a program record 31 career assists.
As a senior, Pearson led his team to the NCAA Tournament Quarterfinals and a final national ranking of fifth by the NSCAA. Pearson was top on the team in scoring that year with 18 goals and 44 points, ranking him third all-time. For his tremendous performance throughout the year, Pearson was named a Second Team All-American.
Upon his induction to the Stafford H. “Pop” Cassell Hall of Fame, Pearson is among the AU top-10 in career goals, career assists, career points, single-season goals and single-season points. Pearson graduated from AU with a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish in 1998.
