In October 2008, Dan Laing became the play-by-play announcer for AU's Men's Basketball Team. During the season, he also serves as the co-host of the weekly "Men's Basketball Coaches Show." In addition to Laing's responsibilibities at AU, he currently works as an on-air personality at WTOP 103.5 in Washington D.C., and Sirius-XM Satellite Radio. Throughout his career, Laing has had a wide range of experiences in the broadcast industry. He has spent time in minor league baseball, serving as the play-by-play voice of the Myrtle Beach Pelicians and the now-Potomac Nationals.
Prior to those experiences, Laing was a senior producer for the Florida Marlins Radio Network for two seasons. He also announced numerous University of Miami athletics events, including baseball and football games.
The 2005-06 men's basketball season was Jeremy Huber's first on the American University broadcast team and he continues on as the Eagles' analyst today. He has handled color commentary during most of his tenure at AU, although he has occasionally filled in as the play-by-play voice for both the men's and women's basketball teams.
In addition to his responsibilities at AU, Huber currently works as an on-air personality at WTOP 103.5 in Washington D.C. and SiriusXM Satellite Radio's PGA TOUR Network. Previously, Jeremy has worked as an update anchor at Redskins Radio in Washington and as Sports Director of WAGE 1200 AM in Northern Virginia.
