95 American Student-Athletes Named to Fall 2009 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll

The Patriot League Academic Honor Roll for the fall 2009 sports have been released, and 95 American University student-athletes have been recognized with the award. AU had more student-athletes named than any other Patriot League school in five of the six sports.

Nine students achieved a perfect 4.0 grade-point average: Kelsey Brasher (women's soccer), Rachel Carney (field hockey), Kelsey Davis (field hockey), Mary Jane Egan (women's cross country), Colin Eustis (men's cross country), Jon Freimark (men's soccer), Hannah Henninghausen (field hockey), Cassandra Ricketts (volleyball) and Mikaila Weaver (women's soccer).

Additionally, this year marked the fourth consecutive year on the PL Academic Honor Roll for 11 seniors: Carly Boyce (field hockey), Carney, Anne-Meike De Wiljes (field hockey), Savannah Graybill (field hockey), Kelly McLaughlin (women's soccer), Claire Recht (volleyball), Mary Riegler (women's soccer), Emily Stovicek (field hockey), Greta Wicklund (women's cross country), Dor Yasur (men's soccer) and Colin Zizzi (men's soccer).

To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the fall semester and be awarded a varsity letter in one of the Patriot League's championship sports.
